Altair Data Resources is seeking a talented Sr Network / Security Administrator who is looking for an opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, high-growth, enthusiastic environment.

 

This position will serve as our Sr Network / Security Administrator.  The sucessful candidate will need to demonstrate an aptitiude for solving complex network/hardware issues and the ability to navigate the company through security audits.


 

Responsibilities will include:Develop and Implement Infrastructure and Security Plans that meet compliance requirements Determine software compatibility and equipment needs Coordinate installation, trouble-shoot and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows-based workstations, printers and peripherals Manage the Network and Security Audit Requirements  Assist clients with data transmission needs Maintains positive, enthusiastic attitude

 

Ideal candidates will be highly entrepreneurial with strong, positive interpersonal skills and should be able to rapidly establish credibility and relationships with a broad range of individuals. They will posses a proven history of delivering outstanding results in a metrics-based, time sensitive environment.

RequirementsAbility to manage several complex projects with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to work with business partners in meeting their network security requirements Experience in creating written responses to network security questionnaire Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details and accuracy Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly to changes Ability to complete projects within deadlines Ability to lift 25-50 pounds, as needed Willingness and ability to rapidly learn new skills
 

QualificationsAssociates degree in related field with 5+ years specialized experience, or Equivalent work experience combined with specialized certifications 2+ Years Experience with each of the following: Installing and Maintaining hardware and software components of Windows-based desktopsWindows Server Managing workstation operating systems, hardware drivers, and MS Office Productivity software MS Exchange 2003 Watchguard firewalls, including 2 factor authentication Terminal Services Veritas Backup Exec IIS 6.0 VMWareDemonstrated success in creatively solving problems Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts in a simplified meaningful way Excellent analytical, customer service, and communication skills Experices with the following is preferred: Familiarity with web technology such as HTML, CSS, XML/XSL, JavaScript and ASP.NET Basic understanding of MS Active Directory Knowledge os WSUS Detailed Knowledge of Windows XPExperience with any of the following is a PLUS: Avaya Phone Systems Symantec Anti-Virus Microsoft Software LicensingSpecialized Security Certifications a big Plus: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certivication)
