The successful candidate will be capable of operating in a variety of technical environments. This individual will be able to take on projects and see them through to completion with a minimal amount of direct supervision. In some cases, the individual will operate as a team member, and in others will operate as the project leader and may be directing others. The individual must be able to clearly communicate with our clients’ technical and non-technical business staff.Essential Functions:Take direction from the project leader and/or Development Manager.Production of design documents.Production of functional requirements.Production of functional design documents.Production from functional design documents.Develop test cases for development efforts and unit test.Develop release procedures and notes for production projects being turned over to our Integration Group.Operate independently, while keeping the manager/project leader aware of status, problems, and appropriate issues in a timely manner.Observe ORCC development standards when developing projects.Qualifications:Technical degree or equivalent work experience. BS CS preferred.6+ years professional experience in application/system development.Experience in one or more RPC mechanisms: JMS, EJB, Web Services, RMI, JMXRequired Skills:Programming:Java / J2EEObject-oriented designJBoss or equivalent application serverXMLRelational databaseUMLOther languages and scripting tools a plus Development Environment:Windows 2000 and up, Unix/Linux a plusJavaEclipseJava frameworksMS SQL Server General:Highly organized and reliableGood communication skillsExperienced in software/communications operational support Excellent technical diagnostic and trouble shooting skillsMessaging Systems.MentoringThis position description is meant to describe the general nature of duties related to this position.
