Sr. Systems Software Engineer (TCP/IP, HTTP, WCCP, C/C++, Linux)

ABOUT ADZILLA:

Adzilla, Inc. (www.adzilla.com) operates the leading technology platform that enables internet service providers (ISPs) to deliver targeted advertising based on action-based behavioral and demographic information to publisher sites and advertising networks. Adzilla has patent-pending proprietary processes, which are focused on generating advertising revenue for the ISPs using information found in ISP subscriber browsing streams.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Adzilla is seeking a highly talented Sr. Systems Software Engineer to design and develop the next generation of intelligent search and targeted advertising systems for it’s ZillaCaster and Media Center products. You should expect to work with outstanding engineers and highly motivated teams in the US and Canada.

REQUIREMENTS:

•    5+ years of designing and developing high performance, scalable, highly-available systems software
•    MSEE/CS combined with 5 -7 years of related experience or BSEE / CS combined with 7+ years related experience.
•    Experience in Unix, Linux, SunOS networking, and distributed systems development experience.
•    Previous experience with network protocols, particularly TCP/UDP/IP, HTTP, in memory and network-caches, layer 2 and 3 switching and routing protocols
•    2+ years experience in OS and system programming (including threading, synchronization constructs, sockets API, memory management, event system programming, etc)
•    Experience in protocol analysis.
•    Strong C/C++ and scripting (Perl, Python) skills
•    The ideal candidate demonstrates a system-level focus while understanding the impact of subsystems and individual components.
•    Experience developing functional specifications and design documentation.
•    Ability to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software in a fast paced environment
•    Ability to innovate and improve system/code performance
•    Familiarity with debugging tools, static and dynamic profilers.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work within small teams and in a distributed and multi-team organization
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
