Sr. Web Applications Developer/Programmer



Information Technology Department of Einstein Industries, Inc. is looking for an accomplished Web Application Developer to take an active part in the design and development of new and support of the existing web applications such as corporate Customer Relations and Asset Management system in Linux/Apache 2.0+ environment. The ideal candidate must be experienced in new and emerging web development tools, programming and scripting languages such as Perl (including DBI and XS routines), PHP, Javascript (including AJAX), and other related technologies such as CSS, CSS2, and XML. In addition, one must have strong knowledge of relational database design and optimization techniques for MySQL and PostgreSQL. Fundamental knowledge and experience with DHTML-based web interface design is a plus.

 

Required Skills:

- Perl (DBI, XS)/CGI with MySQL, PostgreSQL interaction

- Intermediate to advanced SQL

- Proficiency in relational database design and optimization

- Proficiency in Javascript (AJAX), CSS, DHTML, XHTML, HTML, XML

- Experience with web interface design

- Intermediate knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system

- Ability to collect and organize development requirements and specifications

- Strong communication skills

 

Optional Qualifications:

- Bachelor or college degree in Computer Science and/or design

- Image Manipulation with Perl and PHP

- Experience with SOAP

- Experience with popular API such as Google, Google Maps, Yahoo!, etc.

- Experience with Apache 2.0+ modules development

- Macromedia Flash
