RMG Connect, part of JWT, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview
Responsible for the installation, administration, support and management of the Company Active Directory and Windows 2003 server environment. Assists in maintaining backup and restore platform critical to supporting production operations. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
Responsibilities
Client ServiceConsistently promotes and models the company’s Client Service Principles in teamwork, work product, and personal interaction.Ensures exemplary client service to all internal and external clients; proactively promotes client service throughout department and among teams; responds to peer requests with recognition that request serves a client or agency need.
Server ManagementDesigns, implements and supports a stable and secure Windows server environment that follows industry best practices.Provisions servers (physical or virtual) based on customer requirements.Optimizes performance of server environment by working with various application groups to ensure customer servers are running at peak operational efficiency based on application demands and characteristics. Provides regular management reports to indicate server performance, capacity, usage, trends, and cost.Develops and maintains documentation related to server configuration.Collects performance metrics and provide proactive recommendations for improving overall server operations.Provides Tier III support during off hours and weekends.
Disaster and Business RecoveryDesigns, implements and assists in the maintenance of backup architecture for the purpose of business and disaster recovery.Develops strategic test plans, evaluates solutions, and documents recommendations to meet business recovery goals.Works with other IT functional and business groups to develop and support business continuity recovery goals.
GeneralServes as a backup for the Technical Support Analyst, providing second level computer operations support, including technical hardware and software applications.Keeps apprised of new server and virtual technologies and best practices. Makes recommendations to improve existing operational environment.Interacts effectively with vendors and consultants and monitor their performance for optimum results.Supports and maintains Active Directory environment.Supports enterprise-wide VMware environment.Optimizes VMware performance and monitor systems for stability.
ConfidentialityEnsures compliance with the Company Confidentiality Policy, including safeguarding confidential and personal information, and reporting any suspected breach appropriately and immediately.
Requirements
Five to seven years experience in design, installation, and maintenance of Windows server environment.Experience supporting Active Directory environment and best candidate would also possess skills in Linux.Expertise in all aspects of HP server technology, blade servers, SANs and server support tools.Strong knowledge of Commvault Backup Software.Knowledge of VMware ESX 2.5.x or greater and VMware Virtual Center.Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with a team and with vendors.Ability to multi-task and prioritize with great initiative and can-do attitudeAbility to grasp new technologies quicklyStrong documentation skills a must (Diagramming with Microsoft Visio).Familiarity and/or literacy with ITIL foundation principles.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related course of study, preferred.Ability to work nights and weekends and willingness to travel, as necessary.
