If you’ve developed and managed servers and software that run in an ISP environment or data center environment, then you understand what we’re looking for.   Title: System Engineer – ISP Systems DevelopmentLocation: Reston, VA BASIC FUNCTIONSIn this key position, you will be responsible for the design and development of server based Linux software systems.  The systems developed will be used to enhance the product offerings of comScore and will include new development. What you can expect your job to look like: · Participate in the design and development of new systems to be incorporated into the existing collection and processing environment.· Develop systems that will operate at a ISP datacenter· Develop enhancements to current solutions.· Guide group strategy and create action plans and goals.· Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new related technologies. These skills will be key to your success:· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.· 2-3 years of experience in developing and supporting server based applications· Ability to design and develop advanced solutions that process network logged data· Experience with Linux systems, including CentOS, and RedHat are preferred. · Experience with the HTTP protocol is a must· Experience analyzing packet capture dumps and packet analyzer software· Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and IP routing is a must· Demonstrated experience in the network design or monitoring· Experience with the development of Linux applications using C, C++, Perl or Shell scripting.· Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.· The nature of the team’s dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members. comScore, Inc.
