Systems Support Analyst

Responsibilities:Work on desktop team supporting PC and MAC users in New York office. Image and roll out new equipment, repair and upgrade hardware Troubleshoot software issues, install and upgrade software Plan the implementation of desktop services Troubleshoot / Train staff on the new Avaya phone system Manage the backup tape library for offsite data protection Provide support and services consistent with company standards

Requirements: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years experience in computer technology and have experience with PC and Mac repair. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of Windows NT, 2000, and XP, desktop operating systems, server connectivity, email, and the Microsoft Office 2000 and XP suites. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge on Mac OS9 and Mac OSX operating systems, server connectivity, creating images, apple software support (Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.)  Some Network experience a plus. Must be able to configure and add network printers. Proficiency in use and support of Symantec Ghost for installation and upgrade of workstations. In addition to the technical requirements of the position, the preferred candidate must also be able to carry up to 50 pounds. Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) Ability to multi-task with the ability to prioritize work assignments Excellent analytical skills and advanced troubleshooting skills
