TALENT MANAGER

General Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Broadcast Management Team (Producers, Business Affairs) as well as the Account Management Teams in order to properly, estimate, fund and in some cases acquire recognizable talent.

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Formulate talent session; generate final cast list and residual estimates

• Research, review and negotiate talent contracts in compliance

• Properly and compliantly obtain licensing and music

• Manages talent payments by coordinating timely session and reuse payments

• Tracks holding fee cycles and keeps A/S apprised of upcoming cycle payment dates on a timely basis

• Assesses availability of commercials for air

• Prepares and both SAG and non-union talent agreements; fully understands parameters and conflicts in using talent.

• Handles SAG, AFM & AFTRA claim responses by working directly with the union

• Estimates client talent reuse fees, yearly athlete and P&H payments accurately based on media buy info

• Renegotiates with agents to reinstate released commercials or extend expiring commercials

• Communicates extensively with various talent payment services used

 

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree required

• Talent Payment or agency Broadcast Traffic experience

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of 

employees

• Exceptional initiative, attention to detail and follow through skills
