TELESALES SUPERVISOR

We are expanding our in-house sales force and are looking for an in-house sales supervisor.  Our company sells ad specialty products to other businesses. 

 

 Position Summary

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a Sales Team or approximately 10 to 15 Account Executives.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with National Pen's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

JOB DUTIES:

· Supervise and coordinate activities of Sales with direct team and with department.

· Keep Department Director informed and aware of any escalating problems regarding products, customer complaints, employee issues, departmental issues and any other matters involving or effecting the Department.

· Process Department Hold Reports and other Oracle Reports required to manage order flow.

· Advise Account Executives on handling difficult customer complaints, or handle complaint personally.

· Issue written and oral instructions and assist with questions and training of Account Executives

· Supervise and manage the performance of each direct report on a daily basis.  This includes productivity, accuracy, call quality, sales and attendance.

· Monitor calls to observe employee's demeanor, selling skills, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies and call quality standards.

· Issue written and oral instructions to Account Executives.

· Track and Report employee productivity and performance.

· Study and recommend procedures to improve efficiency of department, processes and employees.

· Assist in developing documentation and training materials.

· Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.

· Prepare reports as assigned by managerial personnel.

· Write and issue employee Annual Performance Reviews and Performance Improvement Plans, when necessary.

· Maintain employee attendance records.

· Process weekly timecards.

· Other duties and Special Projects as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Min 3+ years as Sales or Marketing Supervisor or equivalent combination of education and experience in a marketing or sales environment.  Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook proficient.
