We have an opportunity for a Technical Analyst within the technology practice at Studiocom. Your primary responsibility will be managing the architecture and development of technical solutions for one or more of Studiocom’s clients. The Technical Analyst also provides ancillary technical support to the Technical Director.  Ideal candidate would have had previous experience as a developer or working alongside one in a delivery or consulting capacity. 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

Essential Functions

 

· Responsible for creating documents for web based applications that software engineers and quality assurance teams will build

· Work with client stakeholders and business analysts to elicit business, functional, and technical requirements

· Participate in scoping activities, working with project managers and engineering leads to identify risks, generate task break-downs, estimate work durations, and sequence dependencies

· Generate technical specifications and contribute to architecture and high-level technical design activities

· Act as the primary technical interface between the engineering team and other Studiocom capabilities

· Actively communicate status and risks to project managers

· Work closely with user experience team to generate functional specifications

· Advise creative team on technical capabilities and constraints

· Collaborate with Quality Assurance Managers to draft test plans

· Act as a subject matter expert on client-side systems and processes, collecting and managing knowledge on existing systems and processes

· Act as a steward for processes, practices, and methodologies – whether internal, client-facing, or client-side

 

Experience

 3+ years experience as a developer or close proximity; preferably in agency or in a delivery capacity in professional services or consultingExperience performing analysis, design, and specifications for custom solutions for web applicationsAbility to propose new application functions/solutions based on business requirementsUnderstanding of application design and programming concepts such as Client-Server Architecture, N-tier Architecture, Structured Design and Programming, Object-Oriented Design and Programming, Test-Driven, Service Oriented Architecture and Agile Development.Experienced in at least one systems level programming language: Java, C#Experience using common web development frameworks: .NET, Spring Framework, StrutsExperience using several of the following: JMS, Web Services, RMI, ORM Tools such as HibernateExperience working with an RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, My SQLExperience with UML and modelingExperience in all phases of a software/hardware life cycle including: requirements gathering, initial technical design, development, testing, documentation, training/support, and issue resolutionKnowledge of business trends that relate to the Internet and online social toolsExperience with CMS technologies a plus
