Leading consulting firm based in Washington, DC has an immediate availability for a motivated, organized writer.

 

The successful candidate will work with engineers, planners, architects, scientists and other professionals to write and edit various materials used for proposals and the marketing department.

 

The Technical Writer/Editor primarily works on improving the quality of descriptions for international projects. Other duties include but are not limited to (1) writing content for, overseeing distribution of and answering questions about the company Writer’s Style Manual; (2) writing combined descriptions for related projects and chosen countries; (3) assisting staff write/edit content for various materials such as newsletters, project descriptions and award submissions; (4) researching and fact checking written content; and (5) reading project reports and adding specific details, numbers and conclusions into project descriptions.

 

This position requires excellent grammar and editing skills, exceptional attention to details and advanced organizational and research skills. The position also requires a proficiency in Microsoft programs especially Word and Excel, an ability to understand and write about technical engineering content and an ability to read complicated technical documents to find pertinent information for project descriptions College degree required.
