Training Program Director

We seek a training professional to oversee numerous elements of a national Retail Training program; to include developing professional training modules and addressing all the training needs of the organization.  The Training Director will be responsible for:

1.  Oversee training activities
2.  Develop and improve new training techniques and programs for a nationally recognized training
    program.
3.  Drafting training reports for clients and operations staff.
4.  Coordinate all outside training activity (classroom, online, CD ROM, video, self-paced workbook, etc.)
5.  Monitor all training programs to ensure effective and appropriate topic and content.
6.  Develop metrics for training and development programs
7.  Collaborate with 3rd parties to ensure maximum community-wide participation.
8.  Assist in new project and product development training as needed/requested.
9.  Manage training budget.
10. Schedule and oversee training sessions as needed.
11. Assist in developing training modules for new product/service launches.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A four-year degree in Education or related area and/or five years experience in teaching or training in retail industry is required.  Experience training front-line and manager level employees a plus.  Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and pursue annual objectives.  Must be able to effectively communicate and possess professional presentations skills.  Knowledge of computers and basic software packages are important. Must be willing to travel to various locations throughout the US as needed (10-20%).
