VP/AD, Consumer Insights
General Summary:
This position is responsible for the overall leadership of research engagements and for the customer strategy within Modem deliverables. Additionally, it is responsible for developing consultative relationships with Publicis Modem clients, identifying new business opportunities, helping to develop the Customer Insights practice and for managing and developing junior and mid-level staff.
Responsibilities:
-Client Management
-Manage and direct internal and external client requests relating to customer insights and research engagements
-Work with client leads to identify areas/opportunities to represent the “voice of the customer” in Modem’s work
-Support business development efforts across Modem and contribute to deepening existing client relationships within Marketing Strategy practice
Project Management:
-Lead development of large, complex projects
-Create SOWs with team members from other departments
-Accurately estimate budgets
-Oversee overall management of project teams
-Oversee development of qualitative and quantitative survey instruments
-Ensure quality of work and deliverables
-Structure and lead client worksessions, brainstorming and planning meetings
Research and Analysis:
-Drive customer strategy
-Oversee analysis of primary and secondary data in support of client projects
-Drive meaningful insights and findings from qualitative or quantitative research
-Provide impactful customer insights, customer strategy and recommendations to clients
-Guide development of final deliverables
-Effectively present findings and recommendations to clients
Team Contribution:
-Train and develop mid and junior staff in research fundamentals, methods and data analysis
-Review performance of mid and junior staff
-Lead internal training sessions on topics relating to interactive research methods and/or relevant project learning
-Manage and build internal relationships with other Modem departments/teams
-Practice Growth
-Drive the development of the Customer Insights group through communicating value, improving service offerings, and identifying new opportunitiesOther Qualifications:
-Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and client projects, including extensive analytic and consultative skills
-Excellent communication skills
-7+ years in market research with proven leadership, management experience
-Experience working with new media and interactive research
-Effective management of high-performing research professionals
