VP Research (3019847 BM)
Dynamic cutting edge market research company seeks VP with dynamic presentation skills, staff management and online experience. Will be responsible for overseeing a 8-10 person team.
50% of position is management- of the staff and budget 30% of position is overseeing research (reviewing jr staff's research reports, etc.) 20% is business development- (not cold calling). The VP will be called in on high profile pitches to be the research voice/answer questions/discuss concerns.
TRAVEL- up to 25%.
Responsibilities:
· Manages the P&L for the Research Division and ultimately responsible for the financial health of the division
· Manages several project teams through the supervision of the Research/Account Directors
· Effectively manages and mentors direct reports to develop client understanding, project management skills, the purpose beyond the task and basic analytic conclusions beyond the numbers.
· Responsible for performance evaluations and in aiding employee's professional development
· Utilizes understanding of all research products and services offered and the needs of the client business to identify potential new business opportunities and discussing insights/strategy with project teams
· Tracks contract timelines and proactively manages renewal process and maintains contract library and ensures companies legal position through collaboration with Managing Director and legal team
· Provides thought leadership across the organization on new research methodologies and opportunities
· Encourages and supports collaboration across all agency divisions and works with divisional counterparts to anticipate and troubleshoot issues related to all projects and other agency business, as well as to continuously identify opportunities for process improvement
· Has hands-on attention on highest level clients and creates presentations and presents at industry events and BD functions
Qualifications:
· Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Economics or Social Sciences
· MBA or M.Sc. preferred
· 6+ years of market research experience from a leading agency or corporate environment
· Ability to deliver research findings, recommendations, and give a powerful presentation
· Relationship development skills, critical thinking and creativity, detail oriented, curiosity minded, and entrepreneurial
