Vice President (Internal Communications) – Corporate Reputation Group

 

The Ruder Finn Corporate Reputation group is seeking a motivated Vice President to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The Vice President will oversee internal communications for our existing pharmaceutical accounts, as well as contribute to new business development.

 

I.  Job Summary:

As a senior-level member of the Corporate Reputation group, the Vice President will be the primary point of contact with key clients, drive strategy recommendations, and manage day-to-day account activities. The Vice President will report directly to the Executive Vice President/Group Head and manage a team of mid- and junior-level staff.

   

II.  Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist clients with objective setting and strategy development 

· Manage account team and serve as main point of contact with clients

· Draft and review key materials, including core message documents, backgrounders/fact sheets, employee newsletters, and presentations

· Assist in new business development process  

· Liaise with internal service departments (Design, Interactive, Video, Market Research)

· Oversee account administration (e.g. budgeting, client activity report generation, etc.)

 

III. Requirements:

· 7-10 years communications experience (agency or pharmaceutical sector experience preferred)

· Some experience in internal communications a must; executive positioning, change management, and/or M&A a plus

· Excellent oral and written communications skills; advanced presentation skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work well in a team environment

· Self-starter; ability to lead projects with little direction/oversight

· Experience in managing support staff and major projects/deliverables

· Ability to think strategically and work well under pressure

· Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize competing projects 

· Strong attention to detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft suite (basic PowerPoint skills essential)

· B.A. in Communications, Journalism or related field
