Vice President, Technology

 

We are looking for a leader to oversee and manage our growing technology department. This team player will be an excellent communicator with all levels of employees, as well as vendors and customers. Our shop contains PC and MAC users, and our need for leadership encompasses both operating systems.

 Basic Responsibilities

·  Manage operations and personnel of the technology department supporting business continuity including: order processing, desktop support, new media production, system development and maintenance, data management and programming.

·  Partner and consult with each business unit to address their maintenance and growth requirements and to prioritize new system development or procurement across all units.

·  Ensure that both the strategic and tactical directions and capabilities for IT are aligned with the overall objectives and strategies of the organization and are achievable given appropriate time and budgets.

·  Perform all business analysis, requirements definition, project management, coding, testing and support for all technical development initiatives.

·  Research technologies and industry developments and advise senior management on the impact to current product and service offerings as well as growth opportunities.

·  Create, maintain, document, distribute, monitor and update IT policies, guidelines and procedures including:  email and use policy, information security, internet access.

· Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure that operations are continuous and that users have an optimal experience. Requirements

·  10+ years relevant experience which will include:Overseeing a technology department and the “business of technology”Overseeing web development including: user interface design, system workflow, systems integration, and production management.

§ Hands-on .net, AJAX, and OLAP experience.Full understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, exchange Server and IIS Server

·  Demonstrated experience with: Full software development lifecycles.Understanding of corporate and network infrastructure including: Access and routing; Email and PDA systems; Backup and disaster recovery; Virtual Private Networks; Voice and fax systems Systems integration with vertical market applications Metrics generation and reporting across a range of IT-centric initiatives
