Job Title: Visual Merchandiser
Location: Varies with work assignment (will travel to all locations)
Reports to: Retail Operations Manager
Days Off: To be determined


POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Visual Merchandiser is to ensure the store merchandising image is consistent with Company standards to increase sales. The Visual Merchandiser uses space management techniques and merchandising aids to make sure optimal inventory levels are maintained. This position requires daily travel to the stores and warehouse, works primarily with non-promotional merchandise and functions under minimal supervision, communicating frequently with store management, store employees and the buying department regarding inventory availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Customer Service – Offer legendary Customer Service by acknowledging the customers’ presence and directs customer to needed merchandise, finding a salesclerk when necessary. Provide courteous, efficient and attentive service in a timely manner.

2. Merchandise Products – Use sales reports for designated departments as assigned to set and maintain merchandise areas including clip strips and sidekicks to promote sales. Cross merchandise where appropriate.

3. Maintain Signage and displays – Maintain signage and ensure prices are displayed accurately throughout all departments, may work with Pricing Clerk to accomplish tasks.

4. Communication – Communicate with Warehouse employees, Buyers, Vendors, and Visual Merchandising Team Manager (VMTM) for inventory availability and stock transfers. Also communicates with corporate staff, store management and store employees as needed.


OTHER DUTIES
1. Organize back stock on shelf and in overheads.
2. Reorder merchandise as needed.
3. Perform other duties as needed.


WORKER QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years merchandising experience preferred.
- Must be available to work flexible hours to accommodate visual merchandising needs.
- Must have reliable transportation to use on a daily basis to travel between stores and warehouse
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter with high attention to detail.
- Must be dependable. Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, dependable regular attendance is required.
- Must have the ability to read and write English and have basic math skills.
- Must have basic computer knowledge to include experience using Microsoft Office applications, email and internet browsers. Knowledge of Activant is preferred.
