Web Developer / Webmaster – ActionScript 2.0, CSS, XML

 

Our client is a highly integrated, and fully functional interactive advertising agency located in Irving, Texas.  They are looking for a webmaster with Actionscript, CSS, and XML experience to join their team. Come on over to work on an interactive team between the interface design, and the backend development work. This place is on the cutting edge of technology, plus you will be pushing your Flash – Actionscript skills far, (Actionscript is a main skill for this job), but also your CSS skills, some XML, and your JavaScript occasionally, and HTML.  The webmaster will also be expected to take existing compositions (.psd files), optimize images, proficiently hand-code x/html, css, javascript, flash and actionscript, and integrate the graphics, content, media, copy into pages, as well as refresh and update content on a daily basis. Some of this web development is very complex.  PLEASE NOTE:  this not a design job, nor an interface designer job, or graphics designer job – it’s about the middle step – this role comes in after the design but before the back end work is done in development.

 

Duties

Develop and  code ActionScript, CSS, XML.   Create ActionScript 2.0 and some 3.0 soon.  Develop CSS and XML code in a clean and consistent manner with proper supporting documentation.  Build and maintain a template structure that is clean, reusable and expandable.  Proactively ensure that quality of front-end code is of consistently high quality.  Communicate effectively with team managers and co-workers and development team.  Be proactive in assuring quality before release to QA team.

 

Requirements

Bachelors degree in related technical field, preferred.  2-3+ years of ActionScript is required.  2-3+ years of cascading style sheets is required.  XML is required.  2+ years of JavaScript is required.  Extensive knowledge of relevant W3C standards.  Proven expertise in designing, building, deploying and supporting web applications in Actrionscript, CSS, XML, html and Flash capacity.  Experience with cross-browser coding, including browser-safe hex palettes.  Professional experience with programming methods for website layout scalability.  Good organizational and communication skills, and time management skills.

 

Not required but preferred
XSLT, strong JavaScript, strong XML, Actionscript 3.0

Salary:  $75,000 to $95,000 per year

 

Employment Type:  Regualr Full-Time, Salaried position
