POSITION SUMMARY

 

Yazaki currently has a temporary position for a Writer to work on a contract basis to develop and implement internal communications for YNA and its Global Operations in Mexico.  This is projected to be a 6 to 9 month assignment.  This role ensures engagement and coordination of key stakeholders to provide effective and consistent communication solutions to all levels of associates through understanding audiences, processes and corporate practices.  The role also ensures internal communications and change management activities which support YNA’s business objectives and reinforce the company’s culture, mission, vision, and values. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Executive Support  

 Work as an internal business writer providing senior management with strategic communication messages related to business operations, special projects and high-level messaging.Partner with senior staff to define, develop and communicate core vision and values, support projects that impact revenue generation and internal corporate change initiatives.Work with senior management and subject matter experts to develop and implement communication campaigns and messaging that support our business objectives. 

Communication Planning and Implementation

 Create and implement successful communication messages plans for major corporate events and initiatives (including goals, objectives, tactics, timing and measurement) to increase associate engagement.Develop, help manage and disseminate highly sensitive business information.Create up-to-date corporate messages that support and drive change initiativesMeasure and evaluate effectiveness of communication strategies.

Organizational Effectiveness

 Share best practices with team and counterparts.Develop collaborative relationships with all Business Units and Functional Groups in order to effectively acquire relevant content and context for communication messages. Understand business strategy and employee initiatives in order to effectively plan and communicate area accomplishments and tactics. Write and edit all internal communications that support Yazaki projects..Support the Change Management (CM) team in developing communication plans and internal campaigns for launching new initiatives. Partner with CM team to increase Yazaki’s understanding of each new business strategy, and key initiative that is derived as a result of the project.Develop communications that raise the awareness of management and its associates.Partner with CM in Mexico to create integrated plans for consistent internal and external messages.Draft, develop and edit memos/communications that support Yazaki initiativesWorks closely with consultants and YNA internal communications to identify key messages for each project phase.Assists with developing gap assessments and action plans to ensure an effective communication strategy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English or related field5 to 7 years of professional experience in journalism, public relations, and/or marketing communications or a related field. Experience writing corporate communication a plus. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship for employment visa status.
