Writers - Sports Surveys
IAG Research is looking for bright and energetic writers, with an interest in and knowledge of sports, to view primetime network and cable TV shows and write online surveys that will measure the effectiveness of any product placements that occurred during these programs.
Because IAG measures evening programs, the hours can be late (often until midnight or later) so it is great for someone who wants their days free, but hard for anyone with a demanding morning schedule. The good news is that schedules are flexible and only require three shifts per week.
IAG production takes place seven days a week, so six weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) evenings will be required each month. Daytime weekend work is also available after a trial writing period. You must have access to Internet, as well as cable television, at home. However, the majority of your work will occur on site (no telecommuting is possible).
Job Qualifications:
Strong writing skills and attention to detail is required, along with a background and/or interest in television advertising and media research. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the fundamentals of various sports including basketball, football, and baseball. You will also be expected to write surveys for other sporting events including NASCAR, golf, tennis, and sports shows such as ESPN's SportsCenter. IAG editorial style is rigid yet evolving, so we expect our writers to have the ability to deal professionally with constructive criticism.
