Ferrara & Company is currently seeking a talented web developer comfortable programming in an ASP/ASP.net, and SQL Server 2000/2005 environment to fill a full-time position on our in-house IT solutions team.  As part of our staff, you will be applying your skills to innovative and vital web projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Development experience should include ASP, ASP.net, SQL Server 2000/2005, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, IIS, and basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.  PHP and MySQL a BIG plus.

College Degree Required
Min 1+ Year of .NET development experience against a SQL database.
Min 4+ Years developing front-end website HTML

This position involves requirements gathering, so communication skills are critical.  Candidates must be available to interview immediately and start position within 2-3 weeks, if not sooner.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Web Developer will work closely with Project Managers and Creative Team Designers.

Web Developer must demonstrate the ability to work on and/or co-ordinate different projects simultaneously, within tight deadlines while providing time estimates.  Must also possess a solid understanding of modern web-based technologies, cross-browser development on multiple platforms and a good eye for implementing user interface design.  The candidate should be comfortable designing and developing rich, interactive web features and have good knowledge of ASP, ASP.NET,  and SQL Server.  The role will require an independent, pro active attitude in order to conceive and refine creative solutions that satisfy the demands of world-class clients and meet evolving business needs.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with web team to plan project scope and define technical requirements.

2. Development, testing and deployment of custom websites, web applications and services

3. Design, development and testing of dynamic, database driven, web pages and data-entry forms using SQL server.

4.  Comprehensive experience with structuring, developing, and implementing interactive sites.

5. Knowledge of database structure and development for web applications

6. Ability to program for current browser compatibility issues

7. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing, web applications

8. Knowledge of latest .NET technologies, methodologies, development environments and source control techniques

9. Solid understanding of application development methodologies and life-cycle

10.  Experience in gathering business requirements and defining functional requirements

11. Document projects for future references.
