6006 CESAS Technical Support Specialist II
The Technical Support Specialist (TSS) will provide Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) / Electronic Warfare (EW) subject matter expertise in Training; Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP); Research and Development (R&D); and in pursuit of possible Science and Technology (S&T) investment. The successful candidate will also provide technical and tactical expertise and assistance in the evaluating of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Non-Development Item (NDI) equipment for determination of appropriate use to meet specific mission requirements and specifications. The CESAS TSS will provide technical expertise to assist the Project Lead in planning and coordinating the engineering activities of the CESAS Team in accordance with customer tasking and contractual requirements. This CESAS TSS will also liaise with academia, industry, and governmental research agencies in order to identify and evaluate emerging SIGINT / EW technology. The CESAS TSS will assist the government customer in the development of various DoD Acquisition and JCIDS documents, plans, budgets and schedules. The TSS, as directed, will be required to travel in support of the government customer (25%).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as liaison between CESAS Program and other programs / agencies involved in Electronic Warfare and related technology research and development.
Attend meetings with academia and industry as a technical representative of the CESAS Program for the purpose of assessing technology applicability/maturity and program viability.
Provide technical expertise to the CESAS Project Officer with respect to strategic planning for the CESAS / Ground Electronic Warfare Program.
Coordinates development of scenarios and signal environments in support of integration, testing, and training efforts.
Provide support and assistance for the integration of CESAS into alternative operating platforms.
Provide technical support and expertise for verification of new software and applications which support SIGINT /EW Missions.
Assess feasibility of equipment to meet CESAS productization efforts:
Transit and/or operational packaging
Environmental Control Systems
Ancillary equipment kits (power, antennas, cabling, etc).
EDUCATION: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science or other related Field plus four (+4) years of experience; or, a High School Diploma plus twelve (+12) years of experience.
EXPERIENCE: Must have experience supporting intelligence programs for either four (4) years (with a Bachelor’s degree) or twelve (12) years (with a High School Diploma). At least three of those years must be in support of DoD Intelligence efforts performing at least two (2) of the following;
Detailed technical studies
Conducting analysis of current and future requirements relating to design
All phases of testing and fielding
Mission effectiveness.
Must also have three (3) years experience with at least one (1) and knowledge of at least one(1) other of the following;
Logistics
Systems Engineering
Acquisition Management
Software engineering
Configuration Management
Position requires TS clearance, SCI eligible.
Experience with Electronic Warfare or Signals Intelligence Systems is not required, but HIGHLY desirable.
