Join the 787 Flight Controls Electronics (FCE) Verification and Validation (V&V) team and take the challenge to test the most sophisticated commercial flight control system ever developed. This position involves working with international teams located in Russia and India to develop unit tests, model tests, and to perform verification of the 787 Flight Controls Software Candidate will have a working knowledge of avionics application software verification including requirements and code testing, planning and tracking of tasks, model-based development environments (desired), and other embedded software development activities. Good written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with peers, third party suppliers, global resources, and systems engineers.

 

 

Qualifications BS in computer science and/or Computer/Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of industry experience in software design and development, or software test, or system requirements based design.  Experience in ANSI C coding, unit testing and software verification is required.  Demonstrated experience working as a member of a team and ability to adapt well to a changing environment is required.  Use of Green Hills Multi/Integrity in industry is highly desired. Experience with model-based development is desired. Experience with standard communication protocols used in avionics (ARINC 429 & 664), as well as RTCA/DO-178 B procedures and methodology are highly desired.  Previous experience on Fly By Wire (FBW) Flight Control systems is highly desired.  Ability to read and fully understand MATLAB/SimuLink drawings would be extremely beneficial.

 

Would like the person to be Six Sigma Green Belt certified, but is not a requirement.

 

The candidate needs be a US Person due to working with Flight Controls technology.
