ANALYST - SUPPLY CHAIN

Timken Aerospace Aftermarket Solutions - providing replacement parts, bearing repair, overhaul services and fleet management to leading aerospace customers - is currently in search of an experienced Supply Chain Analyst for our repair/overhaul facility in Tucson, AZ.   The primary role of the Analyst – Supply Chain is to purchase component parts and subcontract services required to meet the demand specified per SIOP/Production Schedule.  The Analyst - Supply Chain has the responsibility of ordering to the correct specifications and working with Quality Control/Assurance and Engineering to correct if discrepancies exist in either specifications or purchased products.  Responsible for prompt order entry and on-time delivery.  Maintain strong vendor relations to assure a long-term supply at competitive prices.  Calculate Economic Order Quantities that ensure requirements are met while minimizing inventory investment. Job Duties: Analyzes material requirements per master production schedule/SIOP to determine Economic Order Quantities and delivery schedule. Utilize MRP techniques (systemic or manual) to ensure economic orders are purchased, maximize availability and minimize inventory costs.  Generates Purchase Orders and/or Repair Orders, maintains delivery status, and reconciles all quantity and price variances. Development and management of Supplier network which meets the business needs, to include price and delivery negotiation. Evaluates and improves purchasing agreements that will assure Timken's goals are achieved.  Identifies opportunities to minimize costs and improve delivery. Drives to maximize key performance indicators for commodities to include on-time-delivery, quality and supplier responsiveness.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain (or related field) plus 0-3 years experience preferred.  High School Diploma with 5-10 years experience required.  Manufacturing/MRO experience in Aerospace/Aviation industry preferred. Process improvement for cost/and delivery-time reduction and ability to implement new processes and procedure required.  Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing certification or applied knowledge preferred. Strong project management, leadership, data collection, analysis, and reporting skills. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MRP/ERP applications required.  Quantum experience preferred.
