Senior Antenna Systems Engineer
THE COMPANY
Atlantic Microwave, located in Bolton, MA, is a $40MM+ division of Cobham Defense Electronic Systems and has developed into a leader in the design and manufacture of antenna and antenna systems including ground based SATCOM and data link antenna terminals, broadband COM antennas and specialized EW antennas for ground and airborne applications in support of the US Military. Our customers include major US Defense Contractors and the US Government itself.
We offer antenna products from HF to Millimeter Wave Length and excel at solving the customers RF performance challenges and the continued need for antenna subsystems to be easily transportable, lighter and more rugged. Continued growth has created several exciting opportunities.
THE POSITION
This Senior Antenna Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership in the design and analysis of antennas, components, and subsystems associated with military communication systems. They will provide technical review in support of various program’s aperture requirements to include antenna performance.
BACKGROUND DESIRED
• A BSEE (MSEE Preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience in antenna and subsystem design and analysis
• Ability to complete communication system and derive antenna system requirements from link budgets
• Design reflector or phased array antenna systems from requirements
• Supervisory experience and the ability to mentor junior engineers
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance which requires US Citizenship
• Experience with Communication Systems and Radar Systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
• Hands-on experience to put designs to practice
