Accounting Manager

Position Summary: Directs and coordinates accounting & finance activities by performing the following duties:

 

Position Description:

·  Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare management reports. 

·  Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital. Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected financial position.

·  Oversees P&L’s to insure accurate reporting each month.

·  Completes the intra-month financial outlook and explains the variances to forecast for the station

·  Audits accounts, ledgers, and reports substantiating individual transactions to verify accuracy. 

·  Assists Corporate Tax Department in State or local audits.

·  Completes and has an understanding of Airport concession requirements in order to participate in audits and/or assist as necessary.

·  Prepares annual budget. Oversees station budget process.

·  Analyzes budget to actual variances, P&L month end review and systems oversight to ensure accuracy of data input and reporting in assigned area.

·  Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.

· Compiles and analyzes wide variety of financial information and provides opinions and improvement recommendations based on operational and other indicators.

·  Identifies areas of improvement in the stations’ accounting and purchasing procedures and implements corrective action.

·  Provides weekly labor reporting to management, comparing against budget, forecast, prior period and trend

·  Serves as a resource on all financial matters
