Accounts Payable Specialist

Process Accounts Payable. Responsible for ensuring proper coding to billing jobs.

Check for mathematical accuracy, approval, and other details of documents.

Maintains files with supporting documents. Prepare periodic reconciliations and summary reports of activity. Reconcile vendor statements. Resolve unresolved items between vendors and customers. Work on complex and time sensitive projects. Handle non standard situations and multiple tasks. Will perform other duties as required.

 

Three (3) years minimum in accounting is required.  Attention to detail, ability to organize and process large volumes of transactions on a daily basis.  Good problem resolving and communication skills (oral and written).  Able to handle sometimes stressful situations and deadlines. Experience with an automated A/P or A/R accounting system and spreadsheet application.  Basic accounting concepts and more complex knowledge of how various departments and operations affect accounting. Performs all tasks within area of specialty and teaches others how to best perform tasks.  Sufficient business experience and ability to cross-train with other areas.  Anticipates needs and sets direction of work needed as guided by supervisor.
