Aircraft Structures Mechanic

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Accomplish planned work in compliance with company procedures and supervisors instructions.Report promptly to supervisors any problems associated with carrying out work assignments.Assures all paperwork requirements are kept current with job progress. Report un-airworthy items to supervisors that Inspection may have missed.As well as additional duties required to complete tasks while adhering to company policies and standards.Drill and ream close tolerance holes (+ or - .001 inch) holes in airframe components. (Often in difficult to access areas of the aircraft.)Properly install wide variety of aircraft fasteners, including but not limited to Hi-Loks, Rivets, blind fasteners, nutplates and Jo-Bolts. Accurately measure (to within .001 inch) all shapes and sizes of aircraft structural components. Assemble complex aircraft sheet metal assemblies utilizing the above skills. Install complex aircraft sheet metal assemblies on transport category aircraft using the above skills.

Necessary Skills:Ability to comprehend aircraft literature. Mechanical ability to perform all tasks required ensuring efficiency in production and workflow of the aircraft while achieving highest work quality possible. Solid understanding in the use of precision measuring tools.The ability to read write and understand the English language. The ability to follow instructions and direction. The ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings and aircraft maintenance and repair manuals.

Minimum Education Required:High School graduate or equivalent with the ability to do high school level math and geometry.5+ years on-aircraft structures experience in a maintenance and modification environment A minimum tool inventory (attached)
