Analytical Engineer

Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Structures

Structures Engineer:

Seeking individual to perform 2D & 3D analysis of turbine engine components using state of the art computational software. This position is required to work closely with heat transfer and design engineers in support of component design development.

- Performs structural analysis of aero engine components
- Modeling of complex parts and application of numerical simulation software to perform linear and non-linear analysis of aero-engine components.
- Participate in engine certification and preparation of relevant documentation.
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary design optimization process to meet overall product specification in accordance with the MTU Integrated Product Team approach(IP3E).




 

Requirements

 

Qualifications:
- Technical college or university graduate in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Work experience in aerospace turbine engine development or related field
- Strong team and communication skills
- Knowledge/background in conceptual/detail design and experience with CAD systems is preferred

 

* Heat Transfer / Thermals Experience a strong plus*
