Application Engineer - Aerospace

This position reviews and interprets the detail requirements of a customer application, coordinates customer requirements with other departments within the aerospace business to ensure that the product is clearly defined and understood, complete preliminary design, request for cost estimate and final proposal for the customer, and conducts special engineering projects as assigned. Other key responsibilities of this role include:  1. Perform studies and analyses for aerospace application.2. Solve particular problems with any customer to achieve sales (profitability, penetration and growth.)3. Provide technical advice to associates and customers.4. Provide rapid response to requests for assistance with quality complaints or performance problems5. Instruct and train customers in all aspects of proper bearing installation, maintenance and damage diagnosis/prevention practices and to advise/report on any situation that may give rise to product liability concerns. 6. Render technical assistance with specific aspects of bearing application in support of development of new business in aerospace.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical preferred) Must have experience in training or presenting technical information. Knowledge of tight tolerance machining, blueprint reading and analytical analysis is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Works well under pressure. Willing to travel.
