Job Category: IT/Software Development Job Requisition Number: Q10633 The Senior Applications Integration Engineer will have experience in large-scale, full-life cycle Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) implementations and will be responsible for architecting, integrating and assisting on the development, test and implementation of corporate initiatives that involve the integration of Enterprise Wide applications. The Senior Applications Integration Engineer will have demonstrated technical leadership abilities and a proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-grade solutions. This position will be involved in multiple aspects of the development process - strategic, tactical, and maintenance, and must have the skills and desire to play a variety of roles and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Provide senior-level application integration technical leadership. This will involve development of IT Strategies and Roadmaps in support of the business strategies, feasibility assessment of application requirements, prototyping, level-of-effort estimation, and technical designs that lead to the production of application integration solutions that maximize Business effectiveness and efficiency, leverage the information technology deliver services model and promote a services / component reuse philosophy. Will champion new solutions and approaches and guide successful technical adoption through mentoring, instruction, and by actively overseeing and participating in software development projects. Evaluates interfaces between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall systems. Collaborate with the Business, at various levels, to gain in-depth information of critical success factors, to translate complex technical solutions into easily understood business terms, and to provide various alternative solutions. Help articulate business requirements associated with projects and develop and gain buy in for high level designs (Conceptual Architecture) that support the business requirements. Create detailed end to end integration designs that address objective criteria like the business requirements, cost, time to market, shelf life, maintainability, expandability, etc. and that will be used by application, testing and other downstream stakeholders as input for their activities. Integration designs may entail the following elements: System, Application, Infrastructure, Security, and Enterprise Application Integration, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Business Process Management (BPR). Help in establishing integration and application development standards and best practices and actively participates in the architecture teams continuous improvement initiatives. Provides governance and oversight to ensure that Corporate and division standards are followed across all relevant areas (security, technology, business, legal, etc.) Participates in the evaluation of emerging technologies and tools. Must Have the Following: US Citizen. 8+ years of increasing responsibilities in software development, 2 of those years in an application integration role or equivalent. Experience in detailed software design, coding, unit testing, integration, documentation, and build management following a structured development methodology. Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework. Experience with relational database development using MS SQL server, stored procedures and competencies in data modeling and database design. Experience with XML, XSL, XSLT, and Web Service Standards. Understanding and working knowledge of basic Internet protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, SOAP, POP, SSL. Experience with DNS, firewalls, VPN, wireless, Directory Services, Load Balancers, etc. Working experience with at least two of the following; C#, .Net Framework, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, and XPath. Versatility in handling multiple projects and re-prioritizations. Develop complex large scale Enterprise Wide data models. 8+ Years with BS or 6+ Years with MS or 3+ Years with PhD.Prefer to Have the Following: Direct integration experience with and understanding of one or more of the following; BizTalk 2006, K2.Net, or SharePoint 2003 or 2007. MOSS 2007 based solutions using SharePoint Designer 2007 and the .Net 3.0 Framework. MOSS 2007, incorporating MOSS 2007 features and functionality, develop custom Web Parts, develop web-part based user interfaces to pull data from 3rd party apps as well as write back to those apps, leverage the MOSS 2007 security model, leverage Windows Workflow Foundation, SharePoint Designer 2007 and K2.Net to build complex automated business processes. Leverage BizTalk 2006 integrated processes to build Human-to-System business processes. Direct integration experience with PeopleSoft or DELTEK (Costpoint). Experience in C#, .Net Framework, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, XPath experience. HTML/XHTML and DHTML/JavaScript. Web Services, Web, and N-Tier architecture experience. Microsoft certifications.
