Job Functions/Work Summary
1.) Provides instruction in aviation physiology to Eclipse 500 operators
regarding the physiological effects of altitude, aircraft pressurization
and oxygen equipment, rapid decompression,
and
various inflight emergency situations. 2.) Responsible for the safe
operation of Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD) equipment in a
training role and the associated screening of
trainees,
observation and documentation of student symptoms and reactions and to
hypoxia 3.) Assists Upset Recovery Training instructors in L-39
aircraft orientation, egress procedures,
aircraft
boarding/strap in procedures, and rollover training device operation and
safety. 4.) Manages and administers the academic curriculum for the
Emergency Situation Training aviation
physiology
instruction program 5.) Acts as an equipment technician providing
maintenance of aviation physiology devices, masks, helmets, and
parachutes in both proper operation and currency.
