JOB TITLE: Benefits Coordinator

Dept: HR

Reports To:  Manager of Benefits

Job Summary:

 

Responsible for administration and communication of employee benefits in all operations.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Administers employee benefits programs, primarily 401(k) Handles benefit email box and responds to benefit questions Develop/Maintain relationships with insurance carriers Assist with employee questions and concerns Handle 401(k) activity and process 401(k) changes Coordinates and assists with other benefit related projects

ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Education and/or Experience Required:

 

High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred.  2-3 years related benefit administration required. Previous HRIS experience.

 

Knowledge Skills and Ability

 Comprehensive knowledge of benefit plans, primarily 401(k) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Organizational and time management skills-prioritize effectively, handle multiple deadlines. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS, preferably Ultimate Software. Working knowledge of federal benefit laws Must specify salary requirements
