Business Development-Anti-Submarine Warfare

VP OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT-UNDERWATER ACOUSTIC SYSTEMS My client is an enviable manufacturer of Underwater Acoustic Systems and is well-placed in the underwater warfare sector of the defense industry. They have engaged me to locate an impact player for their Underwater Warfare division at the VP of Business Development level. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: MUST HAVE: Underwater Warfare Sales Experience, NAVSEA Sales, Submariners a plus, Former Naval officer a plus. If you are a submariner and this does not look like a fit for you then kindly enrich another submariner by referring them to me.  I am also engaged in a site manager position search with the same company.  These success patterns should be measurable and verifiable.  1. Have a strong track record of in business development and marketing to the U.S. and navies in underwater acoustic systems.2. Have a track record of acting independently and working with proposal teams in generating at least $10-15 million in bookings per year.3. Be very familiar with the defense procurement process and know how to get my clients Products on the table.4. Have a background in establishing strong customer relations.5. Have a track record of proposal generation and management.6. Have a record of presentations to top level military procurement staff and top level business executives. And the following qualifications: Qualifications:· Bachelors Degree in a Business or Technical Field or equivalent experience.  Advanced degree preferred.· Excellent interpersonal relationship skills such as command presence and listening.· Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills· Excellent organizational leadership and teambuilding skills, · Excellent planning skills to include strategic planning, · PC computer and computer application software skills.· Requires a minimum five years experience in business development and marketing to the U. S. and international navies in underwater acoustic systems.· Solid knowledge of the FAR and US Gov't contract policy and practices. SIX SIGMA CERTIFICATION-A plus.   And the following personal characteristics: Personal Characteristics: Personality traits and work-style patterns that candidate should have to meet the performance expectations. 1.
