Infotech Aerospace Services, an engineering services firm, providing design, drafting, analysis and software services to the aerospace, defense, military and power generation industries is actively recruiting for a Business Development Engineer/Manager to support its growing client base within the United States.

Responsibilities and Duties:

To plan, formulate, and transition new engineering sales opportunities for Infotech Aerospace Services in accordance with business plans.  Serve as the Account Representative for assigned accounts.Formulate, plan, and execute business development strategies and activities within budgets to achieve sales targets.  Perform market research, competitive assessments and customer surveys.Develop ideas for offering IAS services to major accounts.Market IAS technical services at trade shows, customer sites, and other selling activities.  Produce sales and marketing materials as appropriate.  Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries by email, telephone, and personal visits.Act as the IAS focal point in responding to customer requests for requests for information and /or proposals in assigned areas.  Function as the lead for qualifying opportunities from the initial bid-no bid decision to the notification of award and transition of the obligation into the IAS functional organization(s).Assist customers in developing technical solutions that meet specifications and program requirements.  Lead and coordinate IAS resources in formulating technical and project approaches that satisfy customer needs.  Recommend capabilities that IAS should develop to meet customer needs.  As needed, develop opportunity assessments, whitepapers, statements of work, project plans/schedules, descriptions of approach, resource load tables, pricing model inputs, descriptions of related experience, etc as required to communicate and document IAS offers.As required, coordinate the efforts of technical leaders at IAS to develop briefings and other documents that aid business acquisition in assigned areas.  Maintain a satisfactory relationship with existing customers and cultivate relationships with new customers through planned individual account support, and coordination with IAS Puerto Rico delivery center. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities in assigned areas and provide relevant management information.

Requirements:.Self directed individual contributor able to work without direct supervisionExcellent communication and presentation skills.BS in Engineering or other scientific degree with experience in providing design and analysis services or delivery of products involving mechanical engineering disciplines.Experience in preparing business strategies and tactics, cultivating customers, developing bid strategies and proposals, and assisting functional organizations to prepare for execution of new work.Travel ~ 50%.
