Busniess Development Executive/Director

This position requires 50% travel, therefore the phyical location would be dependent on the ideal candidate's resident state. Tt-EMC's corporate office is located in Camarillo, CA with business units located in Arlington, VA, Huntsville, AL, and Oklahoma City, OK. The Business Development (BD) executive will manage and coordinate business development activities for Engineering Management Concepts, Inc. in assigned target markets, primarily within the Department of Defense, to drive new business and achieve strategic growth goals within the group.  Under the direction of the Systems Support and Security Group Vice President of Business Development, the BD executive will market the group’s core capabilities and solutions to satisfy customer requirements. The role includes developing customer relationships, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and competitively positioning the company to improve our win probability on selected opportunity pursuits.     

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

Bachelors degree with 15+ years of business development experience with a principal focus on the Department of Defense agencies, Federal Civilian Agencies and the Federal Government.

Specific experience in developing business in support of NAVSEA Seaport-e Contract - a significant plus.

Ability to follow a structured BD process in opportunity development to obtain formal approval for pursuit, capture and bid and proposal (B&P)funding. Proven track record in identification, qualification and closing of opportunities of $20 Million plus. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Innovative and creative thinker capable of developing complete solutions to meet customer needs through teaming, partnering, and developing prime/subcontractor relationships.

Ability to sell at the task order level to maximize use of existing Multiple Award, IDIQ, and GWAC contract vehicles.

Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to create and make presentations to the company and customer senior management and key decision makers. Ability to leverage current customer relationships, including major industry partners.
