C27J Avionic Integration and Testing Engineer

ClearPoint Resources has a direct hire position available with a defense contractor for a C27J Avionic Integration & Testing Engineer.  Must currently hold a SECRET Clearance.

 

The Integration Engineer will be responsible for all aspects regarding integration and testing of the C27J Avionic System, including system requirements analysis, design and implementation of test cases, developing and implementing ad hoc testing and verification procedures, conducting system integration testing, creating test reports. Additional duties include: capturing detailed information on the test environment and procedures, to enable the accurate reproduction of problems at the avionic integration laboratories. Will also perform problem diagnosis and fault isolation in the computing/networking platform and trouble-shoot problems with physical and logical interfaces.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

•Perform system requirements analysis.

•Create high-level test plans and test specification.   Translate the avionic test requirements into test specification to submit to System engineering.

•Review test specifications from other team members.  Analysis of test specification provided from other team members of avionic IPT

•Create Test procedures.  Design test cases to ensure complete test coverage of all system requirements specified in the Test Procedures. Test procedures will require creating ad Hoc test cases on the acquisition and simulating test environment.

•Conduct systems integration tests on Avionic System Integration Lab.

•Provide test reports, project status and other information.

Post Run Analysis and test results reporting for functional acceptance tests and qualification tests for the C27J avionic system.

•Create System problem Reports.

 

Position Requirements:

•Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical curriculum

•A minimum of 3 years avionics integration and testing experience

•Familiarity with civil and military avionics systems

•Familiarity with Data acquisition and simulating systems based on Real time Operating Systems.

•Familiarity with Avionic testing experience

•Knowledge of HW-SW and HW-HW testing on test/development rigs within process-oriented project environments

•Experience using lab tools, such as emulators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and multi-meters

•Experience with the following bus standards: VME, 1553, ARINC 429, and custom busses

•Familiarity with Interface Control documents

•Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project

•Possess good oral and written communication skills as well as being comfortable in making presentations.

•Be a problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
