CAD PDM Methods Engineer

Develop and deploy new computer based methods and tools supporting Design, Systems Integration, and Product Definition processes. Key tools and processes include: Multi CAD processes, CAD and PDM data exchange/translation applications, Model driven BOM development and many Siemens NX (Unigraphics) and Teamcenter applications that are integrated with custom applications. Develop new automation-based processes with partners, customers, suppliers and Engineering Module Centers. Drive requirements, integration testing, training and user acceptance. Actively influence Siemens with new requirements and enhancements to the software supporting faster, design, product definition and manufacture of our Gas Turbine engines.

As a Methods engineer you are responsible for improving productivity through automation in various engineering functions from Design through Engine assembly. Provide technical interface and influence with customers, partners, IT, technical programming, Siemens and outsource teams. Deliver new processes and timely solutions to new and legacy engine programs. Provide project planning and leadership of multifunctional resources needed to deliver process and tools on schedule.


BS Engineering degree plus 5-10+ years experience.

The candidate must have a background in Design and Drafting procedures with working knowledge of Siemens NX, Teamcenter Engineering and MS OFFICE tools. Application program development project skills are required. Experience with technical programming using Unigraphics NX Open, C++, PERL and Java is a plus. Data exchange/translation,
CAD, Analytical and PDM tools interoperability experience is an advantage. The individual will need excellent communication, teaming and analytical problem solving skills.
