CIPT Design Lead

The Operational Commercial Engines (OCE) Turbine CIPT provides support for the PW4000, PW2000/F117, JT8D, JT9D and FT8 programs. The CIPT Design Lead is responsible for executing module level design tasks and supporting IPT work:
- Review/approve design work by IPTs, and provide technical leadership for the design engineers assigned to the IPTs.
- Execute module design tasks, including the management of risk and mitigation plans
- Ensure preparation & successful execution of part and module Design Reviews
- Provide technical guidance on design issues for the project engineers in the CIPT.
- Verify that CIPT and Part Family tasks are completed consistent with Engineering Standard Work.
- Interface/coordinate with SDCI/CCB in controlling configuration management of the component.

These responsibilities encompass multiple turbine modules, working design, development, field investigations, production and customer support issues. Close coordination is needed with the Part Family, Operations, SDCI and the Program Group.

BS degree in Engineering.

A minimum of 8 years in design engineering experience. Module Center Engineering background is a plus. Previous experience with engine systems/component integration is a plus.

Candidate should have excellent presentation skills to communicate complex technical issues, and possess good interpersonal/teaming skills.
