SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, performs CMM inspection, programming, receiving inspection, incoming tooling inspection, and first-off inspection of SPF and composite production operations and characteristics. Must have a working knowledge of Verisurf and Mastercam programs. Assists in the design of gauges and inspection media and creates and maintains CMM inspection plans.  Must have working knowledge of the quality system and have a full understanding of document control and SPC requirements (including automatic data collection).  Initiates and maintains accurate documentation and records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for creating and maintaining all coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection programs using Verisurf software and a portable Romer CMM arm (or the equivalent).
-Perform complete CMM inspections for parts manufactured or procured.
-Interpret customer engineering models, blueprints and geometric tolerance allowances (GD&T) to evaluate conformance to customer design.
-Use variable gauging (SPC) to determine process conformance and stability.
-Perform receiving inspection and first-off inspections of production operations (forming, trimming, etc.).
-Initiate and complete first article inspection reports (AS9102).
-Maintain accurate documentation and records.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
-CMM operation / inspectin experience
-Verisurf and Mastercam experience preferred
-Aerospace experience preferred
-Must be familiar with safety requirements in the manufacturing area.

TERMS / RATES
This is a con-dir hire
$25-36/hr. (negotiable)
