CNC Programmer

Position Title: CNC Programmer

 

Position Summary:

Set up and operate one or more  Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machines to perform drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and other machining operations over a wide range of surfaces, diameters and depths. The set ups of some jobs are complicated and require milling to close tolerances. Determine proper operation sequence and select and adjusts tools and adapters. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of work.

 

Essential Responsibilities: *

·  Provide complete and accurate setups, programs, material lists and cutter inventories for jobs.

·  Design and generate fixtures to facilitate machining of programmed parts; may also design part to fit on fixture.

 

 Strongly Desired:


SmartCAM experience. 



Essential Qualifications:

·  2-5 years of experience programming on a CAM system for CNC Machining Centers

·  1-2 years of experience designing on Cad Systems.

·  Understand blueprint reading and GDT symbols.

·  Excellent PC skills

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Degree in Manufacturing Engineering

·  2 years experience drafting on a CAD system.Good working knowledge of PC software including Microsoft Office Suite
