Our Scientific and Technical Support Product Line specializes in providing expert scientific support to government organizations engaged in a wide range of scientific endeavors. We are seeking a scientist to review and archive highly technical documents in support of government clients. The position is located in Battelle's Eastern Science and Technology Center in Aberdeen, MD. Domestic travel anticipated is approximately 10%. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. A full benefits package will be provided. Position Responsibilities o Conduct document reviews to determine relevance of documents to subject matter related to chemical or biological defense on various projects. o Identify technical data within various documents that is pertinent to the associated project requirements and enter the data into the corresponding data fields of an existing data base. Basic Qualifications. o BS degree in biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or equivalent discipline. o Previous work experience in one or more of the following areas: -Document review and relevance determinations -Technical data extraction o U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. o Willingness to travel on periodic recurring basis up to 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications o Strong communication skills (verbal & written) o Team oriented with the ability to work closely with other team members. o Detail oriented and capable of working to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications. o Working knowledge of chemical and biological defense related items. o Active DoD Secret security clearance.
