Chemical Engineer- Biofuels

The Homeland Protection and Preparedness Business Unit is seeking a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer to support our operations in Newton, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years experience in the design, installation, and startup of chemical/mechanical systems; demonstrated ability to support the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype equipment; demonstrated ability to support planning and execution of the startup of full-scale chemical/mechanical systems; specific experience in technologies with application to energetic manufacturing or alternative energy, a plus. Applicants will be required to demonstrate superior technical and communication skills in all of the following areas: (1) participation in teams of Engineers and Scientists to conduct aggressively scheduled design reviews; (2) application of test results to full-scale engineering designs; (3) preparation with detailed design documents for prototype equipment; (4) hands-on experience with the fabrication/testing of prototype equipment; (5) planning for and executing field testing activities; (6) analysis, validation and interpretation of test results; (7) preparation of high quality performance evaluation reports; and (8) ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in text. BS/MS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Independent self-starter with outstanding leadership skills and proven organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities. Energetic manufacturing or alternative energy technology experience required. Travel is required. Due to Federal Contract Regulations, US Citizenship is required.
