Make your next move to Raytheon! Job Description: R esponsible for the technical leadership for the Space Systems, National Space (NS) ASL program. Provides Engineering input to all decisions impacting product integrity and mission assurance. Oversees the technical, cost and schedule performance of all engineering activities for the ASL program. Develops and maintains an integrated Engineering resource requirements plan for the programs, which contains people, process, tool and facilities needs, and ensures Engineering resources are provided in accordance with the plan. Charters and oversees program independent assessments for the ASL Program, and reviews and approves engineering products for Gate reviews. Reviews and approves tailoring of Engineering processes by Program Manager and IPTLs. Provides Engineering inputs for all program execution plans, IBR's and EAC's. Responsible for developing and maintaining the configuration baseline. As required, contributes to and works with the Program Manager to develop new product development, independent research and development (IR&D) product improvement plans, and product roadmaps. Responsible for developing Engineering concepts and estimates in support of ECPs and other new business pursuits. Implements the risk management process for technical risks and design closure using Technical Performance Measures (TPMs). Chairs a program area Engineering Review Board and co-chairs a program area Risk Management Board with the Program Manager. Works with the ASL Program Manager to resolve conflicts escalated within NS Programs. Provides performance and compensation recommendations to the National Space Programs Area Chief Engineer and Engineering Management on engineers assigned to the ASL Program. Required Skills: - Technical leadership experience with engineers, scientists, and other functional disciplines - IPT leadership experience - 12-15 years engineering experience, including space experience - Current SSBI required Required Education(including Major): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, or Sciences. Master’s Degree preferred.
