Com and Tracking Lab Engineer

Tandel Systems has extensive experience developing real-time aerospace and defense systems.  We have the project management skills and the systems engineering capability to work with our customers to deliver fully tested real-time hardware/software capability for defense, space and civil aviation systems. We also have extensive experience with flight test systems development, independent verification and validation, and legacy systems upgrades. Tandel Systems is working with its customer to develop A Com and Tracking Lab Engineer.

Maintain Com and Tracking Ground Support Equipment (GSE) located in the Com and Tracking Lab Stations 1 and 2, OPF 1, 2 and 3 high bays, roofs, Pad A and Pad B. Support Space Shuttle Orbiter Communications and Navaids testing at the OPFs and Pads. Provide data collection and analysis in support of Orbiter UHF, Space to Space Communications System, S-Band PM, FM, Payloads, Closed Circuit Television, Digital Television, Wireless Video System, Ku-Band, GPS, Radar Altimeter, MSBLS and TACAN subsystems. Perform system and component level testing and troubleshooting of C&T Ground support equipment. Perform annual turnaround testing and troubleshooting of FAA Shuttle Training Aircraft MSBLS Navsets. Write work authorizing documents, technical procedures and Maximo Job Plans in support of mission operations to test and repair equipment involving analog and digital circuits, Radio Frequency and Microwave circuits, Radar and Radar Systems, antenna systems, Radio Frequency telemetry and Radio Frequency propagation systems. Create computer software written in C++ and C# to provide remote control and data analysis of C&T Ground Support Equipment. Perform Lab upgrades and survivability projects by updating and redlining drawings, writing specifications and statements of work, and writing work authorizing documents. Perform project manager functions for lab upgrades and survivability projects by partnering with the customer for new projects, creating Change Partnering Agreements, Decision Packages, Project Definition Packages, and Work Packages. Tracks and reports project status and costs to Ground Project Management and Resource Management.

Desired:
* M.S. (or higher) in engineering, physics, or related field.
* Knowledge of military and/or intelligence sponsor community space system needs.
* Familiarity with STK, DOORS, and/or other analysis and system management tools.
