Combustion Devices Development Engineer

Join our team as a Combustion Devices Development Engineer.

* Responsible for supporting a major rocket engine production program for Combustion Devices Hardware.
* Lead projects for activities to meet customer requirements for component redesigns or upgrades.
* Support test and flight anomaly resolution activities.
* Provide engineering direction for fabrication and field site issues through the use of engineering change control and/or material review systems.
* Support manufacturing and supplier issues.
* Interface with members of process and product teams, management, and technical staff to design and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
* Work without direct guidance or direction from others and have in depth knowledge of the discipline and role.


* BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
* Five to ten years experience required in combustion devices development
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes including, welding, plating and brazing
* Hot-fire test with rocket engine components experience is desired
* Possesses demonstrated ability to consistently perform responsibilities and meet quantity (hardware design, delivery and test) and quality expectations
* Good written and oral communication skills are required
* Candidate must be well motivated, a self-starter and proactive, and have good interpersonal skills to work effectively in team environments
* The candidate should have basic knowledge across the following Mechanical Engineering knowledge bases:
- Manufacturing
- Mechanical
- Thermal
- Hydraulic
- Thermodynamic
- Heat transfer


* 10% travel required
