Combustor Aero Engineer

The Combustor Aero Group is seeking talented additions to their team. Responsibilities include and are not limited to: (1) performing aerodynamic and heat transfer analysis/design of engine and rig components; (2) Setting up, executing and analyzing sub-component or engine combustor operability, performance, and emissions tests; (3) Combining engine data with CFD and analytical models to data-match temperatures, pressure loss, efficiency, operability, combustion dynamics, and emissions measurements; (4) Communicating results and providing aerothermal direction within IPT/CIPT. Programs include the geared turbofan, F22 Raptor, F35 Lightning II, industrial aero-engines, Operational commercial engines and advanced combustor design for future products.

Education-- MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Experience/Qualifications-- Thermal analysis of engine components and experimental and/or development engine or rig testing.

Candidates must have 2-5+ years experience.
