Job Category: Installation/Maintenance/Repair Job Requisition Number: Q11037 Provides support to users and departments in the effective use of microcomputers through installation, maintenance, version control, evaluation, development, and utilization. Implement data security procedures in conjunction with audit guidelines while upholding corporate data security policies and standards. Operation and maintenance of systems ensuring high levels of system uptime. Ensure data and equipment is secure. Maintain performance availability with Client Server architecture. Maintains current knowledge of microcomputer technology [BC configuration standard.] and keeps data processing and users aware of new trends and developments within the field. Provide Outlook [client support] for new accounts set up and user basic function support. Provide support to users by responding to problems, evaluating technologies, and recommending solutions. Maintains and updates current database of incoming customer calls and current solutions. Develop general knowledge of all platforms, operating systems, applications, and communications to refer to proper support personnel. Coordinate the support calls that require service request development with appropriate Systems Analyst. Apply customer satisfaction methods and techniques to all facets of the position to ensure total quality and continuous improvement. Maintains and updates current inventory database of BC Hardware. Provide basic function support for the MS Office products. Maintains awareness of probable errors that may result in the ineffective development and utilization of microcomputers. Install/test off-the-shelf purchased software. Develop priorities with customers. Develop and implement training as required. Provide input and technical direction to IT strategic plan. Provide input to maintain and execute disaster recovery plans and procedures. May be designated as a project or team lead by management to direct, coordinate and assign, priorities to designated members of the team and/or enforce standards and documentation requirements. Complies with site safety policies and maintains a safe work environment. Performs other duties as necessary and appropriate to this position. Must Have the Following: U.S. Citizen. General Intel Desktop knowledge. Windows XP, Windows Server, MS Office. 0+ Years with BS. Demonstrated ability to work within the team environment. Excellent telephone, listening, written and oral communication skills. Ability to operate in high interrupt driven environment. Good interpersonal and analytical skills. Must possess the ability to interface with diverse technologies utilizing a variety of administrative tools. Must be able to coordinate with other technical disciplines to facilitate problem resolution, and provide strategic input for project planning.Prefer to Have the Following: PBX/Telephony.
