Computing Security & Information Protection Specicalist 4 Position Description This position will perform duties of lead Computing Security Specialist on a Boeing-led contractor team at Vandenberg AFB, CA and serve primarily as ISSO for classified computer operations and assist the COMSEC custodian as required. Responsible for oversight of audits, system access controls, coordination and maintenance of operating authorizations, and investigating computing security incidents and violations. Additional responsibilities include compliance with security program operating procedures; storing and disposing assigned classified material; security education of employees includes participation in AF training; coordinating security matters with host, customer, and appropriate Boeing security representatives, and support preparing and conducting security program reviews and self-inspections. Position will mentor and advise other ISSO's and SA's. Extensive knowledge of computing equipment and its operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, Linux). Extensive knowledge of software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage. Extensive ability to apply knowledge of database engines to the design of databases and reporting structures. Extensive ability to integrate hardware and software components into a functional system. Extensive knowledge of software testing and usability theory. Knowledge of testing, usability practices. Extensive ability to write and execute test scripts and perform usability analyses. [ + ] Information Assurance Extensive and specialized knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, processes, tools and methodologies to assure confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and information systems. Understands current industry standard common body of knowledge (CBK) and common criteria methodology (CCM). Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree and typically 9 to 13 years' related work experience or a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years' related work experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
