Job Title: Controls Engineers

 

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for developing, validating and calibrating fuel system control algorithms and related diagnostics on current and future heavy duty engine products.

Specific responsibilities include performing systems engineering, requirements development, digital control algorithm development, sensor/actuator dynamics modeling, stability analysis, simulation and performance analysis, and all supporting high pressure fuel systems products. This individual will also serve as an interface between engine development, electrical/electronics and fuel system design groups. This involves performing development and validation employing system tests on benches, engines and vehicles.   

Demonstrated competence in utilizing control theory and system dynamic principles in the development of electro hydraulic as well as electro mechanical control systems. Experience with design/development of diesel or gasoline engine fuel injection equipment is highly desired. This includes engine emissions & performance algorithm/strategy/function development.

Pre-requisites:

 

·         Matlab

·         Controls development tools

·         Literate with C and VBA programming language

·         Troubleshooting fuel and engine systems via PC based service/calibration tools, standard lab instrumentation and data acquisition systems

·         Develop & simulate control system models of fuel and engine systems

·         Fuel and engine system hardware

·         General Powertrain knowledge

 

Education - Bachelors Degree in Engineering
